A technique that uses thin, sterile needles to address muscle pain, stiffness, & movement limitations by targeting myofascial trigger points. The needle is inserted into the affected tissue without injecting medication, creating a localized stimulus that can reduce muscle tension, improve blood flow, & support the body’s natural healing response, helping restore movement and function.
A technique that uses suction cups (glass, silicone, or plastic) placed on the skin to create negative pressure. This gentle lift of the tissue helps reduce myofascial restriction, improve circulation, support lymphatic flow, and decrease muscle tension. Cupping is often used to address pain, stiffness, scar tissue or adhesions, & movement limitations by improving mobility within the skin, fascia, & underlying muscle.
A hands-on technique addressing the body’s connective tissue system (fascia), which surrounds & links muscles, nerves, and organs. Gentle, sustained pressure is used to reduce restriction, improve tissue mobility, and decrease pain or stiffness. Rather than targeting muscles alone, this approach focuses on restoring adaptability within the fascial system, which can become restricted due to injury, stress, surgery, posture, or long-term compensation supporting improved movement, circulation, & the body’s natural capacity to heal.

What to Expect & How to Get Started

I work with humans of all genders and life stages experiencing pelvic floor symptoms.
Most of the conditions I treat involve vulvar & pelvic anatomy, so many of the people I work with have vulvas. These concerns often arise around life transitions such as pregnancy, postpartum, surgery, injury, or periods of increased stress or change.
I also work with men, particularly when orthopedic conditions - such as hip, spine, breathing, or movement patterns - are contributing to pelvic floor symptoms. Many of these patients come through referrals from trusted clinicians to ensure the approach is a good fit.
My practice is especially supportive for people who have struggled to feel heard in healthcare. Many patients are neurodivergent, trauma-experienced, or simply looking for care that moves at a slower pace & prioritizes nervous system safety, collaboration, & understanding.
In the state of Ohio, a referral is not required to begin pelvic floor physical therapy due to direct access laws. You are welcome to reach out directly to explore whether this approach feels aligned.
At the Unbound Pelvis,
Evaluations are 75 min
Ttreatment visits are 60 min in length.

There is no fixed timeline. Frequency is guided by your body, goals, & nervous system tolerance. Not by insurance visit limits or arbitrary milestones.
Some people notice meaningful shifts within a few sessions. Others benefit from longer-term care, especially when symptoms are complex or long-standing.
Your first pelvic floor therapy visit focuses on listening, understanding your history, your symptoms, story, & assessing whole-body patterns. Treatment only begins with consent, and nothing is automatic or assumed.
Sessions are one-on-one & unhurried.
Treatment may include:
- Whole-body movement & postural assessment
- External pelvic & orthopedic hands-on care
- Internal pelvic hands-on care
- Manual therapy, including myofascial & joint-based techniques
- Integrative tools such as dry needling, cupping, or instrument-assisted soft tissue work, when appropriate
- Breath & pressure strategies to support ease, stability, & coordination
- Neuromotor coordination & strength work, including endurance, power, & resiliency building paced to your nervous system & current capacity
- Nervous system–informed techniques that support regulation & safety
- Education that helps you understand what your body is communicating & why symptoms make sense
Internal pelvic exams or treatment are never required. They are only considered if relevant, clearly explained, & chosen by you.
